CIP & Liberty HS Modernization

I’m sharing this article from the Carroll County Times this weekend about the Community Investment Plan (CIP) and how Liberty High School modernization is not included in this year’s draft.   Last Thursday, I went to the Commissioners meeting because I wanted to hear the presentation.  I’ve been following this closely since I discovered through my research that this is the 3rd year in a row that CCPS has requested the Liberty modernization project.

Although I originally went to listen, I decided I would get up to say something during public comment since I was disappointed Liberty High School didn’t make it in the plan.  I was quoted in the Carroll County Times article as saying the needs of our schools are greatly outpacing the work that’s being done.
